Ripsaw Catfish is Anton Hunter (guitar) and Cath Roberts (electronics, baritone saxophone). The Manchester and London-based musicians started playing in 2013, going on to release the albums ‘For The Benefit Of The Tape’ (2014), ‘Namazu’ (2017) and Carapace (2022) on Raw Tonk Records.

The duo have toured widely around the UK including appearances at Cafe Oto, IKLECTIK, Lancaster Jazz Festival, No Bounds Festival, Thinking/Not Thinking Festival, Match & Fuse Festival and London Jazz Festival. They were part of the 2017 ‘Five Years of Raw Tonk’ tour, visiting Haarlem, Rijkevorsel, Amsterdam, London, Salford and Oslo, and once played a one-off gig in Paris which was great.
